Carl Marks Advisors Adds Daniel Ireland and Paul Huettner to Advisory Team

July 24, 2019 – Carl Marks Advisors ("Carl Marks") has announced the addition of two new hires to bolster its restructuring and distressed debt capabilities; Daniel Ireland, who has joined as a Managing Director to focus on restructuring and corporate finance, and Paul Huettner who brings a decade of distressed debt experience to Carl Marks in the role of Vice President.

Mr. Ireland has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout a 13-year career spanning two continents. He began in his native England in audit and corporate recovery at BDO and most recently served as a managing director at FTI Consulting in both New York and London. Ireland holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from the University of Manchester (UK) and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Mr. Huettner brings nearly a decade of distressed debt financial advisory experience, most recently as an associate at Chilmark Partners. There, he assisted in the development of strategic options, conducted cash flow analysis, and did equity research. He graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and is a CFA charter holder.
