Breitburn Energy Partners Extension Approved

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court approved Breitburn Energy Partners’ motion pursuant to extend exclusive period during which the Company can file a Chapter 11 plan and solicit acceptances thereof.

According to the order, “The Debtors having filed the Omnibus Reply to Objections to Motion of Debtors to Extend Exclusive Periods, dated October 25, 2016 (the ‘Exclusivity Reply’) (ECF Doc. # 703) modifying the Debtors’ request to extend the Exclusive Periods, and upon consideration of pleadings opposing extension of the Exclusive Period by the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors and Wexford Capital LP, and, on due notice, after hearings held on October 27, 2016 and December 14, 2016; and for the reasons stated on the record of the hearing held on December 14, 2016, it is: ORDERED that the relief requested in the Exclusivity Motion as modified by the Exclusivity Reply is granted as provided herein; and it is further ORDERED that, pursuant to section 1121(d) of the Bankruptcy Code, the Debtors’ Exclusive Filing Period in which to file a chapter 11 plan is extended to and including January 10, 2017; and it is further ORDERED that pursuant to section 1121(d) of the Bankruptcy Code, the Debtors’ Exclusive Solicitation Period in which to solicit acceptances of their chapter 11 plan is extended to and including March 10, 2017.”
